Having already visited Latvia and Lithuania, I had to visit the last Baltic country, namely Estonia, so I spent the weekend from September 12, 2025 to September, 14th.
Day 1
Walking in Tallinn city center
To get to the hotel from the airport, I took the bus (bus 15 or bus 2) and the trip took about 20 minutes.
After I dropped off my things at the hotel, I went for a walk in the city center. The weather was terrible, it was pouring rain, but I still wanted to take a walk to follow the program I had planned.
The town is very cute and colorful, and many of the buildings have a medieval style.
In the evening, I had dinner at Peppersack, a beautifully decorated and lively Estonian restaurant. That evening, there was a show that lasted about fifteen minutes.
Day 2
On the second day, the weather was more pleasant than the day before. This morning, I took a little walk around the city.
After my walk, I went to lunch at Stenhus, a chic and gourmet restaurant where the dishes were delicious and the service was impeccable. Even the menu was a true work of art, with each dish represented by a painting and a description that made you feel like you were in a museum.
After lunch, I took the tram to Kadriorg Palace.
In the evening, I had dinner at III Draakon, a truly traditional tavern where you are greeted by staff in medieval costume. You order at the counter (the menu is very short), take your food, and bring it to your table yourself. We eat with our fingers and drink directly from the pitcher. At the end of the meal, you clear yours table.
I saw a street performance right in front of III Draakon when I left the tavern. Sylvain, a French guy who has been living in Tallinn for 10 years and stopped his engineering studies to come to Estonia, performed in front of the crowd.
