My firm was closed during Christmas holidays 2017, I wanted to add a new French city to my tally instead of staying in Paris.
I hesitated between Nice and Annecy and I opted for Annecy. Everyone told me Annecy was really nice to visit and I do not regret my choice.
On December, 26th, with my friend Jenny, we went to the Gare de Lyon to go to Annecy.
I didn't see Jenny for a long time because we don't live in the same city anymore.
Indeed, Jenny doesn't live in Paris anymore and it is more complicated to see each other to find out all about the latest gossip!
When I think about it, our last trip together was in 2014. It was in London and we really enjoyed this trip in the country of Harry Potter's mother! Yeah, Jenny and I love the bespectacles boy.
The trip from Paris to Annecy took 3h40 during which we enjoyed the scenery, watched series and sent Snap. A few minutes before arriving to Annecy, we were totally captivated by the beauty of the mountainous environment. The amazement constantly increased during our stay; Annecy is such a beautiful city.

Day 1
Our hotel was only 5 minutes on foot from the Gare d'Annecy; really practical.We left our luggage, get some rest and did shopping.
We also walked around the Lake Annecy and crossed the Pont des Amours (lover's bridge).
Day 2
The second day, we decided to try regional specialities: Fondue savoyarde for me and Reblochonnade for Jenny.
After lunch, we scrolled through the Vieille Ville d'Annecy and the place du Château. We entered the doors of Notre Dame de Liesse church and the good smell of the Christmas market emanated from the streets.

We drank hot chocolate to warm up.
Day 3
The third day, we walked around the Lake Annecy; wonderful walk!
After our walk, we drank hot chocolate and mulled wine.
Day 4
The fourth day, we ate Raclette for lunch. While leaving the restaurant, it started snowing. Annecy is really beautiful covered in snow!

We caught sight of Annecy Castle a few days before so we decided to visit it and the museum of animated movie.

Of course, before going home, we drank a hot drink at a café like Starbucks.
Those holidays were punctuated with laughing and improvised karaoke sessions, perfect recipe to have a diverting vacation with your friends!
