The Capital of Lights (Lyon, France)

Again, this year, during a 4-day weekend, my mother and I jumped in a train to go to Lyon the capital of lights!

The Bastille Day (14th of July, 2016) was perfect to visit this city and we also had the occasion to see fireworks.

Lyon is known for its famous light festival (Fête des Lumières) which occurs every 8 December and lasts for four days.

We went to the "Parc de la Tête d'Or" where you can see animals, walked along the Rhône and the Saône, had lunch near "Place Bellecour", took Fourvière funicular, strolled in the "Vieux Lyon", discovered frescoes next to the "quai St Vincent" and the "Mur des Canuts" and so on.
